Manta Divers November 2007 Newsletter
11/13/2007

Greetings Divers!

Mike and I had a great time at DEMA (Dive Equipment & Marketing Association), checking out what’s new in dive gear and gadgets and gathering information about the many options for dive group travel. Keep an eye out for an announcement of 2009 dive shop trip destinations!  We also were happy to finally see the new Aqualung fin that was unveiled exclusively at DEMA!  We will have them in the shop in the next week and are heading to the pool to try them out!

It’s November and time to start thinking about Christmas and what dive related gifts you would proqd_i3like to find under your tree, and what you can get for the diver in your life!  There are frink_sos_inuse_400many items Manta Divers can suggest in price ranges for every budget.  Divers are once again encouraged to stop in and fill out a wish list.  While you are here, check out the new Pearl i3 women’s BC and the i3 men’s BC, the latest thing in buoyancy control.  We are getting the new Aqualung rash guards for under the wetsuit or for greater than SPF50 protection while snorkeling, in time for Christmas.  Don’t forget that all divers need emergency signaling devices, underwater flashlights, dive log pages, fish ID cards (you need to see our brand new “Fish Flips”), all great stocking stuffers!

Discover Scuba class is a great inexpensive gift for a friend you want to get interested in diving, or for a fun family activity.  It takes only one day, but is an experience you’ll be talking about for a long time!

Manta Divers is pleased to announce our new scheduled “Express Dive Classes,” designed especially for those of you who are in a crunch for time.  If you are a self starter and are able to study on your own, you can simply read the book on your own, and complete all of the knowledge reviews, and then meet at the shop for one classroom session, on a Saturday, and head to the pool on Sunday to learn scuba skills.  This is a perfect set-up for travelers who want to dive on vacation, but don’t want to spend their days in a classroom.  (Or procrastinators) You may either be referred to a PADI shop at your vacation destination to complete the open water dives, or join Manta Divers on one of our trips and have Mike or I complete the dives with you.  DISCOUNTS are available for groups, so get a friend to sign up with you!
